Art Beast

My friend Joanna invited us to this great place called "Art Beast" in downtown Sacramento. It is a 4 level OLD home that has been converted into a children wonderland. The basement floor is all dress up - anything from princesses to dinosaurs to firemen costumes! There is even a "spaceship" and a stage! The 3d floor is ALL ART - anything you can imagine - multiple easels, tons of craft tables and endless supplies of materials including clay, glitter, buttons, glue, feathers, etc!!!!!! This same floor has a play structure and tiny kitchen. The top floor is a space for goofing around on mats and a scheduled class and story hour area. It was really fantastic. When it was time to leave Jack threw himself on the floor and whaled letting all know he was NOT ready to leave!

Ooops - SOMEONE forgot the sunscreen!

Last Sunday P took Jack to the Sacramento Airshow - they both had a blast watching all sorts of tricks in the sky and multiple different air crafts. Jack brought home a small toy Thunderbird (pictured below) - clearly that was not all they brought home!

A visit from old friends & neighbors

Our old across the street neighbors and friends who moved to Indiana 2 years ago came for a visit last night! We used to spend many evenings together having dinner and playing games - it was fun to do it all over again - we sure do miss them!

Cookies

Since our August was so crazy, Jack and I have been staying at home a lot. He has also shown a great interest in potty training and is now on day 11 with using his potty! Yesterday we decided to make and decorate cookies together for the first time. We surprised Dad and made them for him when he got home! Jack loved making them AND sampling them! He called the sprinkles, "parties!"
