This summer we have been taking parent/child swim lessons at the YMCA. We both love it. He loves the songs, the activities and play time with toys the most. He now can hold onto the wall without me helping him - it has been fun to watch!

Last week the entire Woods family took a family vacation out to York, Maine to visit Grandma Shirley! Most of the time we had thunder and lighting, but did get three days of beautiful sun. Jack continued to LOVE the beach. It was wonderful for Jack to meet his great grandma for the first time. Jack (the travelor that he is) was such a trooper! We took a direct flight, red-eye out there and he slept the entire time. On the way home we went from Boston to Chicago and he played on our laps. From Chicago to San Francisco he played the first hour and slept the rest. We we were standing up to exit the plane, the lady in front of us looked at us and said "Oh my goodness - Have you been sitting here the entire time?" We said "yes." She said "I had absolutely no idea there was a baby behind me this entire flight!!!" Great job Jack - way to make Mom and Dad proud!!
My girlfriend Cara drove up from Boston with her two daughters to spend a couple of hours with us. We went to Brown's Ice Cream - a favorite spot next to the Nubble Lighthouse. Thank you for coming to see us girls!

We celebrated P's 33rd birthday while in York. For dinner we went to Chauncey Creek. A restaurant where you bring all of the sides and they provide the lobster and crab! Here is a picture of the 4 generations! Happy Birthday P!!!

I need a vacation from my vacation!
Jack was pooped after our trip to Maine. We ended up using his belly as our snack tray on the airplane since he was blocking the real trays. He didn't notice the chips or my whole body shakes with the silent church giggles at the sight of this.

Official New Englander!
We went to Kennebunkport the other day, vacation spot of the Bush family, and walked around. In one of the shops we found a red sox cap that fit jack perfectly. It was too cute to pass up!

Jenner, CA
The Holmes Family invited us to Jenner for the weekend - a first for P and me! We also visited Bodega Bay (another first for us!) The house we stayed in sat right on the tributary - where the Russian River empties into the ocean. The house and location was magical. It was wonderful to get out of the smoke and see the ocean! The boys had a blast - as did we - THANK YOU Holmes family!

Happy Birthday AGAIN Jackie P!
Jack was fortunate to celebrate his birthday again with his family! It was was special to have all of his family around him all together! I duplicated the same cake my Grandma Emma made for me when I turned one! It was fun to watch him wear his crown again - Thanks for coming from near and far family!
