knock...knock... SURPRISE!!!!!!

Guess who showed up at our door ALLLLLL THE WAY FROM HERSHEY PENNSYLVANIA!!!!?????!!!!! SUSAN!!!!

For those of you that do not know - Susie is very close to our family. I met the Transeth family when I was 16, that was when I began babysitting her two boys Chase and Stenn! The Transeths have been a huge part of my life/our lives for so many years. They truly are an extension of our family. They have been soooo amazing to us for so many years and treat us as though we are one of their own - in turn - we had a Stenn too! It was a way to honor them and show our love. We also think the name is fantastic! Susan said she could no longer handle seeing everyone on the blog meeting Baby Stenn and her being so far away - soooo she planned it with my mom and Patrick and showed up on our door step Wednesday afternoon!!! She called and said to call her back, that there was something for me on my doorstep!!! One of the biggest surprises of my life!!! She immediately helped me with the house cleaning and organization - she treated us to dinner and played with the boys. It is fun for her that I have too boys as well!

Taken about 2 minutes after she arrived - we immediately whipped out the camera!

Jack loves Auntie Susie!

Don's cousin from Norway knitted "Big Stenn" this traditional, Norwegian, baby patterned sweater when he was born. Suz dug it out of her Stenn's baby box and flew it out here with her so our Stenny could take a picture in it. So special and meaningful - thank you for that Susie.

Jack and I were hit with the stomach flu last week - so he needed some time outside. And yes ---- Jack got sick again - - - - and yes he gave it to SUSAN while she was visiting California!! I feel horrible!

Words cannot thank Susie enough for the 3000 mile away surprise! It means the world to us!!!

More visitors!

Brother snuggle time on the couch! Jack continues to amaze us with how precious he is with his brother! Such a good helper - we feel so blessed!

Tony stopped by to meet Stenn - he practiced feeding Stenn, something he will be doing a lot since he has a new niece, Mariana, who is only 5 weeks younger than Stenn!

A weekend visit from Nicole and Sawyer! This is only the third time I have spent with Sawyer - the first was when he was only 4 days old, then only a few months old! Now he is already 10 1/2 months and has such a precious demeanor! He loved watching Jack, was very intrigued with Baby Stenn, is a fantastic eater and LOVES his mama!!!! Isn't he beautiful?

The boys dined together . . .

sat together . . .

played fire trucks in their matching fire truck pajamas together ...

and had a wonderful time being boys together!

Nicole gave LOTS and LOTS of snuggles to Stenny and treated us to an awesome Mexican dinner! Jack loved that Nicole loved playing puzzles too! He is a BIG "puzzler" now a days!!!! Thank you SOOOO much for taking the time to hop on a plane and spoil us with your time and love!

Recently

Uncle Mel and Aunt Adaleen brought lunch from the city and came to meet Baby Stenn! Lots of traffic made it a long drive - thank you for coming!

Happy 87th Birthday Grandma Shirley!

I am sad this picture is blurry - but I love this expression - it is what I see nightly when P walks around the house with stenn - his little bobble head peeping all over the place!

Umma loves her Stenny - she came to help me out the other day. It was 4:00 and I finally got to wash up for the day!

Visitors, Turning ONE MONTH & More Visitors!!!!

Carrie left the girls with her folks in Portland and flew into Sacramento for two days! She was AMAZING! She cooked went grocery shopping, made multiple meals, did our laundry, played with Jack and snuggled Stenn endlessly!!! It was such a treat to have her here. She really spoiled us. I appreciate her patience with Jack, considering every 30 seconds he would say "Come on Care, come play with me, come on Care!!!" I don't know what was cuter, him calling her Care or her dropping anything she was doing to stop and play with him!

Day before his one month birthday

One month Birthday Bath (wish I would have gotten better one month birthday pictures - the day goes by so fast)!

Friday - A visit from Heather, Sarah and the kids!

Marco Cecchin, Nikos & Olive Romios, Jack, Stenn

Jack has been pretty amazing with Stenn - always concerned about him and wantingto know where he is. Every time Stenn is on the play mat Jack lays there with him.

Saturday - A visit from Danielle and Dad! AKA "Trampa Tom & Dani"

Sunday - A visit from Grandma Sandy and "Trampa Bill"

And now..... time to rest....
THANK YOU EVERYONE for loving the boys and coming to visit!

The boys

Erin came before Christmas to meet Stenny! Robin and Beverly came a few days ago too! I specifically got out the camera and put it on the counter to take pictures - but this sleep deprived mind never took one shot :(. All three of them showered Stenn and Jack with gifts - thank you SO much!!!!

Buda buddies (Jack calls his pacifier (yes he still has his pacifier for bed) "Buda") This was a HUGE moment - Jack allowing Stenn in his crib - he was not so sure in the beginning - but then he wanted to get in it with him and he thought it was fun!
